OCTOBER 2026 PEDAGOGICAL COUNCIL MEETING: ALINING TASKS AND IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION
In carrying out the tasks of the 2026–2027 school year, on October 8, 2026, Do Ngoc Du Secondary School held its October Pedagogical Council meeting, attended by the Board of Management together with all of the school’s administrators, teachers, and staff.
The meeting focused on reviewing the implementation of tasks in September and agreeing on key priorities for October, with the aim of maintaining school discipline, improving the quality of teaching and learning, and ensuring the effective implementation of the school's educational activities.

The school’s Board of Management chaired the October 2026 Pedagogical Council meeting.

The Board of Management presented and discussed the key tasks for October 2026.
During the meeting, the School Management Board emphasized the importance of maintaining effective teaching and learning routines and strictly implementing the 2018 General Education Curriculum and the school's academic year plan. Subject departments were encouraged to strengthen professional collaboration, reach a consensus on teaching content and methods, adopt differentiated instruction to meet students' diverse learning needs, provide additional support for students who have not yet met learning requirements, and further develop the abilities of high-achieving students.
One of the key tasks for October is improving professional quality and innovating teaching methods. The school is rolling out thematic sessions oriented toward developing students’ qualities and competencies, including school-level thematic sessions for Grade 9 Literature and Information Technology. Teachers are expected to review their progress through the curriculum proactively, prepare midterm revision outlines for Semester I, and carry out student testing and assessment in a way that is objective, fair, accurate, and meaningful manner.
In particular, the school continued to promote scientific and technological research. Among these, the project “IoT-Based Cigarette Smoke Risk Warning System for Schools,” supervised by teacher Nguyen Mai Anh with the participation of two students, Nguyen Thuy Linh and An Ngoc Linh, was selected to compete at the city level.

In addition to professional tasks, the school continues to pay close attention to homeroom teaching, the cultivation of discipline and good habits, and ensuring student safety. Homeroom teachers were encouraged to work closely with subject teachers and parents to monitor students' academic progress, understand their emotional well-being and personal circumstances, and provide timely support when necessary. These efforts aim to build united, positive, and supportive classroom communities.
Regarding security and safety in the school, efforts continue to be strengthened. The school coordinates with the police to conduct outreach, inspections, and the handling of issues related to traffic safety for students. In addition, thematic educational sessions were organized to raise students' awareness of the risks of online scams on social media. These activities helped students develop a stronger sense of legal responsibility and acquire essential skills to protect themselves from potential risks in both their studies and daily lives.
At the same time, digital transformation and the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education continued to be promoted. The school required teachers and staff to make effective use of available educational software and fully comply with requirements for electronic records and data management. Furthermore, professional training in AI education would continue, alongside the gradual introduction of AI-related teaching activities in accordance with the school's plan.
Throughout October, the school also organized a variety of educational activities and student movements, including events celebrating Lifelong Learning Week, Hanoi Liberation Day on October 10, and Vietnamese Women's Day on October 20. Activities organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization also contributed to creating a lively, enthusiastic, and positive atmosphere throughout the school.

The October Pedagogical Council meeting took place in a serious, democratic, and responsible atmosphere. The matters discussed and agreed upon at the meeting serve as the basis for subject groups, departments, and each administrator, teacher, and staff member to proactively carry out their work and coordinate closely in performing their tasks.
With a strong spirit of unity, responsibility, and the entire staff, the staff of Do Ngoc Du Secondary School will continue to build on their achievements, strive to improve educational quality, and create a safe, positive, and friendly learning environment, contributing to the achievement of the goals set for the 2026–2027 academic year.
