DO NGOC DU SECONDARY SCHOOL CELEBRATES VIETNAMESE WOMEN’S DAY: HONOURING DEDICATION, BEAUTY AND CONTRIBUTIONS
On the occasion of Vietnamese Women’s Day, October 20, Do Ngoc Du Secondary School organised a warm and meaningful celebration to honour the women who have made invaluable contributions to their families, the school and society. The event was an opportunity to reflect on the proud traditions of Vietnamese women, express heartfelt gratitude for their dedication and celebrate the remarkable contributions of the school’s female staff and teachers.
Throughout our lives, women hold a special place in our hearts. We grow up surrounded by our mothers’ unconditional love and our grandmothers’ gentle lullabies. Their kindness, patience and countless sacrifices nurture us, offering comfort and strength as we navigate life’s challenges. These quiet yet profound contributions are a lasting source of inspiration and deserve our deepest appreciation and respect.
The ceremony opened on an emotional note with a heartfelt performance of “Me Yeu Con” (I Love You, My Child) by teachers from the school’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union branch. The song’s touching melody and meaningful lyrics created a warm and moving atmosphere, setting the tone for a celebration filled with gratitude and affection.

The celebration also provided an opportunity for the school’s staff, teachers and employees to reflect on the 96-year history of the Vietnam Women’s Union (1930–2026) and the 16th anniversary of Vietnamese Women’s Day (2010–2026). These milestones highlight the enduring legacy of Vietnamese women and their significant role in the country’s development.
Upholding the noble qualities traditionally associated with Vietnamese women—heroism, resilience, loyalty and resourcefulness—modern Vietnamese women continue to demonstrate their intelligence, confidence, creativity and dedication in every aspect of life. Their achievements reflect not only their individual strength but also their enduring commitment to their families, communities and the nation.
At Do Ngoc Du Secondary School, these qualities are reflected in the dedication of female teachers through every lesson, carefully prepared teaching plan and innovative classroom activity. With the close attention and support of Ms. Pham Thi Hao, Secretary of the School Party Committee and Principal, the school’s Welfare Board has organised practical activities to strengthen collegial bonds, promote gender equality and foster a supportive and inclusive working environment. These efforts help ensure that female staff and teachers are encouraged to develop their professional abilities, contribute their talents and continue to grow in their careers.

The school’s achievements and awards are the result of the collective efforts, commitment and creativity of its staff and teachers. Among these contributions, the dedication of female teachers holds a special place. Their professional competence, enthusiasm and wholehearted care for their students are reflected not only in their daily work but also in the positive values they inspire in generations of learners.
On behalf of his male colleagues, Mr. Nguyen Truong Sinh, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee and Vice Principal, extended his warm wishes to all female staff, teachers and employees. In his message, he shared: “Every woman is a beautiful flower, bringing colour and fragrance to life. On the occasion of Vietnamese Women’s Day, October 20, I would like to wish all our female colleagues continued youthfulness, happiness and success, along with many more achievements in the noble journey of educating and nurturing future generations.”
